About the Piano Fundamental Course:

Our Piano Fundamental course is designed to introduce the student to the piano with emphasis on the right techniques and basic knowledge required to progress to a higher level. The main objective of this course is to ignite the spark or interest in piano playing. 

The building blocks of piano playing and general musicianship such as scales, chords, rhythm and “sight reading” are introduced along with fun pieces for this level of piano playing.

Prerequisites:

  • Age 6 years and above.
  • Instrument (Piano).
  • Interest in music and learning piano.
  • No formal prerequisites are required, although a basic understanding of music and ability to read simple musical notation would be beneficial.

About the Piano Initial Course:

The Piano Initial course is aimed at strengthening the student’s foundation of piano playing and technique with an increased focus on posture, fingering, theory and melodic recall. The most important objective of this course is to introduce unique piano arrangements of contemporary hits from different eras. Students will learn different styles such as Blues, Jazz, Film, Pop and Rock. 

The lessons have been designed to increase the students’ level of sight-reading with slightly longer pieces of higher difficulty [involving the treble and bass clef at the same time]. They will get a better understanding of scales, chords and basic arpeggios. During the course they will master some basic classical repertoire and enter the world of classical piano solos. As they complete the course they will be able to crack the Initial Grade Certificate from any recognised board ( RSL/Trinity exams).

Prerequisites:

  • Age 6 years and above.
  • Instrument (Piano).
  • Interest in music and learning piano.
  • Foundation Certificate (Music Pandit/ RSL/ Trinity/ LCM or any Equivalent Board ) or at least 1 year of formal keyboard/piano training/experience.

  • Scales (as per examination requirements – Major Scale, Minor Scale, Pentatonic Scale)
  • Triads, Broken Chords and Arpeggios

About the Piano Level 1 Course:

This is the perfect piano course to amp up a student’s basic piano playing skills and graduate to a better level of piano playing, mastering the essential core concepts with slightly harder but fun pieces and songs. The objective of this course is to introduce students to piano arrangements with syncopated rhythm structures and long slurs/ phrases. Compound time signatures are also an important aspect at this level. 

Students can increase their level of sight-reading with counting techniques and learn to recognize more notes at a time. They will gain a better understanding of musical concepts such as scale and chords by learning some new keys and exercises/etudes. They will have access to a refined repertoire of Grade 1 standard and perform them confidently with the right dynamics and articulation. Finally as they progress through the course they will be able to crack the Grade 1 Certificate from any recognised international music exam board (RSL/Trinity).

  • Age 7 years and above.
  • Instrument (Piano).
  • Interest in music and learning piano.

About the Piano Level 2 Course:

The piano level 2 course focuses on mastering all the foundational blocks of piano playing before entering into the intermediate level. This is the last beginner level course which reviews all the topics from Foundation, Initial and Grade 1 levels. 

A solid understanding of basic music theory, practice techniques, dynamic execution of pieces, shaping and articulation of phrases, scale fluency and precision during chord/harmony changes are the crux of this course. 

Students will learn about chord extensions, voicings and jazz harmony and enter the world of jazz. They will master famous standard classical repertoire from the classical and romantic era which can be performed at recitals and concerts. All in all, they will be able to crack the Grade 2 certificate exam from any recognised international music exam board (RSL/Trinity).

Prerequisites:

  • Age 8 years and above.
  • Instrument (Piano).
  • Interest in music and learning piano.
  • Grade 1 Certificate (Music Pandit/ RSL/ Trinity or any Equivalent Board) or at least 2 years of formal keyboard/piano training/experience.
